Authorities were called to New Arisens Childcare Solutions for a missing baby around 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 1, according to police.

Officers met the parents at the scene and forced entry into the building, where they found the 6-month-old in a car seat under a blanket, authorities said. The daycare had been closed and locked for the evening, officials said.

The child was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children for examination, according to police.

Three employees were charged in connection with the incident this week:

  • Sydia Thomas-Ishman, 23
  • Gabriela Rivas, 35
  • Janae Smith, 22

Each is accused of endangering the welfare of a child and conspiracy, court records show.
